Roles & responsibilities
- Support the development of vehicle controls software architecture for various vehicle systems including:
- Vehicle controller
- Motor controller
- Battery management system
- DC-DC Converter
- On-board charger
- Liaise between partners during development to ensure controls and systems are properly integrated
- Support development and tuning of controls throughout vehicle development
- Perform model based software validation and HiL rig test and validation
- Support functional safety work, producing documentation to facilitate ISO 26262 compliance
- Identify shortfalls in software development for compliance with ISO 26262
Essential Skills & Experience
- Highly skilled with Matlab software package inc:
- Matlab
- Simulink
- Simscape
- Compiler and code generation tools
- Experience developing automotive EV controls software for embedded application
- Experience working on HV systems
- Experience of working to ISO 26262
- Experience of CANbus systems and associated software tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, PCAN)
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in the motorcycle industry
- Able to perform model-based software validation
Qualifications
- Systems/Controls Engineering BEng or Equivalent
